Being founder of “Horizon Voyages”, I am very happy to express my warm welcome to those who love nature and philosophy. Being strong nature lover and after deeply studying the great philosophy of the Lord Buddha, I personally realized the strong bond and the eternal relationship existing in between the marvelous philosophy and nature which build the platforms of vast knowledge, correct attitude, sharp senses and specially emotional love for all living things on the earth or elsewhere in the eternity to fill the emptiness in one’s mind.

Being a learned Buddhist and thoroughly fascinated and blessed by Hindu culture with its colorful rituals, I thought that I have more rights than some other people those who are selling this country’s valuable Buddhist philosophy and it’s proud history without any knowledge or very little knowledge. Eventually tourism became a “big business”, how sad…..! Horizon Voyages’s objective is totally different, our theme is to guide you correctly and sincerely in this Island called “Paradise on the Earth” for your pleasure and give morally maximum satisfaction, our idea is for you to allow to carry back an unforgettable image and memories engraved deeply in your hearts that you have spent few days in “god gifted haven” on the earth.

After successfully completing my higher studies in science in a Sri Lankan university and abroad, on my return to the Island I had first chosen hotel industry where I worked as a guest relation manager entailing all front office duties and then as a marketing officer in charge and later in a foreign embassy as an information officer. Subsequently I was offered managerial positions in some travel firms from where I gained vast knowledge in the travel industry and tourism. After sometime I understood that there are many more hidden uncommon sites which fascinate tourists attraction than normal sites in the Island. I did my personal researches and started exploring country further interior in view of finding effective remedies to cure travellers' thirst of discovering something typical. Having associated very closely with different type of communities in the villages and jungles throughout the Island and sometimes with aborigines, I could smell the real scent of human love in unassuming way and eventually this love persuaded me to become a “National Tourist Guide Lecturer”. Finally this position helped me to share my knowledge and true experience with the tourists those who came to Sri Lanka from various destinations.

As a token of years long experience, the “Horizon Voyages” is born with its sole determination to convey the correct message of this wonderful Island to its loving travellers, as I mentioned before permitting them to carry back unforgettable image and memories of this “Paradise Island” to their homelands……
